I'm Katie, and I'm a love-a-holic. I believe love is the most powerful thing in the world!
My passion for design and planning started as a young girl. I grew up as the only girl of three siblings, and needless to say I put on a "production" for my family every chance I got! From the time I was able to speak I began singing and acting, performing in school and church plays and of course, receiving multiple make-believe Tony Awards for my make-shift living room musicals. I designed my own costumes, sets, make-up and even lighting! My creative side has always been what drives me.
Wedding and event planning not only brings me great joy, it is what I love and makes me thrive as a professional. Helping people is what I was born to do.
After receiving my BFA in Musical Theatre from Shenandoah University and Conservatory, I moved to Los Angeles to pursue my love of the arts in every capacity. I'm a SAG-AFTRA Member, where I've been able to grow in film and television acting, as well as numerous theaters around the Los Angeles, and Orange County areas where I have worked as an actress, singer, set designer, and director. When I met my soon-to-be-husband, we decided to delve into the world of real estate as a team, where we have helped so many couples and families obtain their dream homes! We became engaged, and we got married at the happiest place on earth- Disneyland!!! Yes, we sure did! We spent a year planning our wedding together in bright colors and shimmering scenes. In that year we had the most fun of our lives! I got to create a magical extravaganza for the most amazing day of my life! It was truly a wake up call. I realized that all the jobs I had up to that point were preparing me for what I was truly meant to do: designing and planning events of all shapes, sizes and varieties! Serving others and bringing happiness into the lives of people is the greatest gift. I make it my goal to embark upon a one of a kind, unique, and fun journey with each couple, each family, and each group that I meet. From start to finish, I promise to use personal touches to add the element of magic to every moment. Let's create memories that thrill for a lifetime. I moved to Los Angeles in 2005 with my band, “Intercept” in pursuit of all things music. I’m a drummer, and yes I love to make noise! Back then I was all about the entertainment industry. Music has always been my creative outlet and my passion. If you had told me then that I was going to meet and fall in love with the most amazing woman, who also happens to be a musician, propose to that woman, have the most magical and amazing wedding day, and start a successful wedding and event planning business with that woman…well, I would have laughed. Life is funny and unexpected that way.
The truth is, Katie and I bring out the best talents and traits in each other. I love to create, design, and decorate. LilyBelle Events has taught me how to focus on those hobbies and turn them into a life changing career. Katie and I are a REAL couple who have a passion for helping REAL couples make their dream day come true. I believe in the value of hard work, and creativity. The whole point of a great party is the gigantic amounts of fun and happiness it provides! The bottom line: if you can dream it, I can make it happen.
